I have just finished installing Windows 2000 Pro.
My internal zip is mapped to the F: drive. The problem is I am connected to a netware network and the first network drive is also F:. I know how to change drive letters in Win 98 and NT 4.0 but can not find where I can re assign drive letters in Win 2000.
Can someone enlighten me please

Thanks in advance
JimT

Jim -

From the WINNT/SYSTEM32 directory run "diskmgmt" high lite your drive, right click . . . (you know the rest)

There must be an easier way to get there but haven't found it yet.

Good Luck ~

i believe if you go to computer management (from admin tools..or even from control panel) you get an option for disk administrator, and from there it's pretty much like NT. you can format, assign drive letters, create stripe sets/mirrors, etc...

it's kinda buried in there..but it's there.

Hi,
On your desktop, right-click on My Computer. Click on Manage..

You are in the Disk Manager, click on (...)Drives.. you should see all your HD's and CD-Rom and Zip.. Right click on the one of your choice and click on Change drive letter and path..

You will be able to change the drive letter..

Ben_Cool
