When I selected a line, it used to be there were two empty squares at the end of the line. Now the squares are black. Where is the setting, so I can switch it back to the empty squares?

Thanks,
Brian

...the white arrow tool (direct select) is the one your using?

andrew

Yes, the Direct Selection Tool (A).

...what happens when you deselect everything and then re-select a line again?

andrew

Very strange. This morning, I started Adobe Illustrator and I noticed the problem went away. I had restarted Illustrator several times yesterday, and the problem was still there. Don't know what happened, but I don't have a problem anymore. Thanks.
