SelectedIndex being lost on ListBox 1

Hi,

I have a ListBox control and when I click the control the selected index ALWAYS remains at -1 regardless of where i click. If I manually update the alue in the watch windo then this value is retained regardless of where I click. This happens regardless of autopastback or not. ViewState is on.

Can someone please shed some light on this - its driving me nuts.
