Access 2000 Run-Time database

I have several users that have been running my Run-Time database on their computer for several years. Now when they try to get into the database they get this error.

"Selected collating sequence not supported by the operating system"

They click ok and the program drops out.

The only change that one of them made was upgrading to XP.

Why is this coming up and how can I get around it?

Thanks for any help.

This option really won't work. They don't have XP access installed. The MS resolution will not fix the problem. I have check the settings before I compiled the database. The users just use the Run-Time version of Acccess. I am still not sure what to try next.

I think you may need to do a compile of the package using a PC with the same OS as the target PC if you are to avoid DLL conflicts.

In effect, if you want to support people who use WinXP you would have to run it yourself.

If you have the same OS, same language settings and you are using the General sorting sequence I have no other ideas.

Sorry.

Try to repair the Access runtime on the Pc. I have created a package cd and straight after installation the database came up with this error.
I ran the setup.exe from the runtime folder and all worked fine after a repair.
