I just recently got a 250 to work with W7 but Im pretty sure there are not any drivers for W7 on the 450 series. Did you find any before trying to downgrade?

Hi DrB0B?
THank you for your reply,
No I didn't found.

I explain you more about this issue
1- My manager has some softwares which works on xp asked me to install win xp on this machine, firstly I tried so without results.

2-I installed a virtual machine Vmware and it worked however a VM it is not a professional solution.
3- I thought install a win 7 with xp mode .
4-win 7 won't boot , I tried everything without result
this machine is 100% UEFI .
I read this in Hp website " Hp probook 450 G3 designed for 8.1 /10
How ever there is Win 7 drivers I downloaded all of them.

> a VM it is not a professional solution

Some might disagree with this.

Dear strongm,

when I said VM it is not a professional solution I mean for people who are not trained like my manager also VM it is not allowed by our company's polices
could you please support me.

CDIV,

What solution did you find? Did you change the BIOS/Setup options away from UEFI to Legacy? On some computers I recently had to work with, the OEM incorrectly installed Windows 7 but provided media for Windows 10. It was set to Legacy boot instead of UEFI. To allow Windows 10 to install, I had to change the setup option to UEFI. I'd imagine it'd just be the opposite in your scenario.

Whenever you find a solution to your problem, don't just say "it's fixed", but always provide what the solution was. The whole idea with such a setup as tek-tips forums is knowledge-sharing. It's not sharing if you don't actually share.

Hello guys,

Hairlesssupportmonkey
Sorry I was so busy at my new job.

Steps to install win 7 on HP PROBOOK 450 G3

requirement

1-usb drive (8GB)
2- ISO WIN 7 (32 or 64 bit)
3- the attached file USB 3.0 DRIVER
4-Rufus
5-ubuntu

1- Create a Bootable USB Drive by using this setting (GPT partition scheme for UEFI).
2-uefi setting ( Legacy enabled, secure boot disabled) save changes, once your machine restarted you need to type the code """""don't forget enable your keypad"""" followed by ENTER.
then boot your machine from ubuntu.

2- use Gparted to format partitions and use GPT table.
4-unzip the attached driver and copy it into HDD partition you want.

5-boot your machine on usb after this windows will request driver "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing error" then browse to your hdd and choose driver folder and istall the nice driver " you need to click on "NEXT" to times.

Now you can show your partition and you can continue the installation .

if you have other questions don't hesitate.
