Is there any possibility to refer in the SELECT statement of an View to an LotusScript variable declared and initialized in the View globals???

Please say "yes" ;)

Regards

stephan Hofmann

I'm sorry, but the answer is NO. The Lotusscript variable expires as soon as the execution of the Lotusscript is completed. If you could tell me exactly what you are trying to do, I'll try to tell if there is any other way for it.

but it doesn't expires, because i declared the variable na d at initialize i gave it a value i checked with a messagebox and when i close the view in terminate i also checked the value with a messagebox.
the value was correct.......

i try to pass a parameter to a view

thx

The value may well be correct, but that is simply not the way Notes works with view selection formulas. Besides, view selection is Formula language, and Formulas do not have any link with LS variables (unfortunately).
A view selection formula is to be regarded as a fixed SQL query. Fixed - as in determined at design time.
You will not find any way of changing the selection formula while using the view.
You can only change it in the Designer.

Is there a possipbility in the Selection Field to compare Attributes of two documents, e.g. Select all that contains in [Attribute] the [Attribute] of an other Dokument?

There is only one document of the second form.

The selection formula can use whatever info is contained in a given document.
You cannot use @dblookups or any other method that attemps to gather info from outside the document.
You must understand that it is the document that is being evaluated. Thus, your selection formula must comprise all the possibilities of data values contained in the fields you want to control that exist on the documents you are selecting.
You cannot, however, condition the value of a field in a document to the value of a field in another document, since the other document is outside the scope of the selection formula at that time.
