Hi,
I have been told by one of the developers in the team that the above is returning a high number (64000+), and the server has only been up for about a week.

My question is this: what could be causing this? I know that some of you may come back with "well, it could be one of a hundred things" - thats fine, but our system manager has run a number of disk diagnostics on the server and all appears fine. Is there any particular situation that could bump up this number?

The server is Windows 2003, SQL 2000 SP3. It is also our development server - does this give a clue as to what could be doing it?

Any and all help qappreciated.

Can you post the results of:

In query analyzer...

Press CTRL-T
Run this: sp_monitor
Then copy/paste the results here.

When posting, include the results within:
[ignore][tt](results here)[/tt][/ignore]

This will use a fixed width font so the columns will line up.

Will do, but it won't tell you much now - the tech supp manager rebooted the server last night as he was concerned - even though his diagnostic tools said all was OK. It may be better for me to wait until/if it happens again and then post those details then.
I have been using sp_monitor for a while, and thats where I noticed the problems.
