Select last 5 records entries? 2

Hi, I have an extremely basic MySQL table with 2 fields, "id" and "name". I want to be able to select the last 5 "name"s that have been entered into the database.

if id is an auto_increment, then

select id, name
  from yourtable
order by id desc
limit 5

otherwise, you can't do it
