hi all. not sure if anyone can help with this..

running MS Access 2000, SP3

I have a database with hundreds of identical tables, all named

ordersYYYYMMDD

is there any way I can create one 'master' table, other than running an INSERT INTO query hundreds of times, changing the table name on each occasion?

thanks in advance

M

I would just use some vba to extract all the relevant tables from the MSysObjects table, and loop through them running the select into statement with docmd.runsql, and I'd turn of warnings with docmd.setwarnings...

Thanks for the pointer. need to do some serious reading up, but I've been meaning to start doing procedures using VBA for a long time..
