Getting back in development in 6.3 utilizing Clarion Templates (classic) from old days in Clarion DOS and early version of Windows.

I'm using a 'Call Lookup' button associated to a input field for a form. However, when it calls the prodedure to do the lookup, I cannot 'select' the choice from that browse procedure. I checked the 'originalrequest' value and it was a '4'. In the old days, that was a passed value to the called browse produre to treat it as a 'lookup' function. Double clicking on the record just opens an update form for that browse proc.

I'm also wrestling with have the Description from the 'lookup' file display on the form upon entry, or after chosing a new value. I looked at an example but it was ABC and seemed to require handcoding. It shouldn't be this hard...I must be missing something easy.

Hi!

Do you have a SELECT button in the Lookup Procedure i.e. Browse. If not, you have not installed the BrowseSelect template. Open the Window Formatter and choose Populate -> Control Template and choose the BrowseSelectButton - 'Select record from a Browse Box' control template which will install the Select button on the Browse and enable the Select functionality.

Regards
