Windows 2000, Autocad 2000i

Default view in Windows under folder options is "list" for all folders.

The "Select File" dialog box is showng the files in a large icon view. When "List" is selected, the files are displayed correctly, but the next time the dialog box is opened, "preview" is checked in the view menu, and the view returns to large icons. On our workstations (Autocad is being run on the workstations, not the server) that retain the "list" view, list is actually greyed out on the menu... "preview" is checked.

Hi nes105,

Seems to me this was a bug in 2000i, but it also seems to me you had to have this preference set in windows before AutoCAD would honor it. Check and see if you have all the latest and greatest service packs installed - but this one may not be "fixable".
