Hi,

I have a query that works fine, however I was wondering can you use select distinct in Access SQL?

thanks in advance

In Access if you type Help then enter Distinct you get the complete answer to this. I wonder why you didn't do that. mike.stephens@bnpparibas.com

I did look in help and it only referred me to a visual basic module. I was actually wanting to use it in an SQL statement.

You can add the word distinct in the SQL view of your query. This removes duplicates of the fields mentioned. Distinctrow removes duplicate records ie where all fields in the recordset have identical values.

Which reminds me I seem to remember the QBE screen used to put distinctrow in by default didn't it? mike.stephens@bnpparibas.com
