Ok I am writing a report base on a select date range query. And on the top of the report it says Montly Report. But the manager wants the name of the month as well. Is there a way to do this. Do I need to create a table of all the months and some how tell it if begin date is so and so then that equals that month. Please Help. Thanks in advance.

No, you can just create a text box based on a date value. Eg: set the control source to something like:

=Format([myDate], "mmmm") -> eg April
or
=Format([myDate], "mmm yy") -> eg Apr 02

Look at the help page for user defined date formats for a full list of options.

Best Regards,
Mike

To add on to the previous thread...

Could you make the date field a grouping header on your report and change the format to be Month, Year?

That way you could still enter the date range 4/1/02 and 4/30/02, and the report would show April, 2002 as the first line of your headers.

You could even make the date range permanently 1/1/02 to 12/31/02 and, and it would put all 12 months in the report.
That way you could have all 12 months at a glance, if the report was small.
