in my table, I have a date associated for each service call going back a good decade or so. I want to compare August performance for just a few years (2009, 2010 & 2011)How would I go about selecting just August records without having to load all of the data between Augst 2009 and August 2011? I'd rather just deal with the 150,000 records rather than 1,250,000 records.

In my select expert I cna set a date range (between 08/01/2009 & 08/31/2011) but not just records in August for those years. Thanks

Right... thanks for the reminder.

I created a simple formula using the Month function so that each month was assigned a numeric value which cooresponds to the calendar month (i.e. August = 8)

Then using my select expert, I selected the formula I created (@month) to only select a value of 8.

This gave me only records for August in 2009, 2010 & 2011

forgot to mention that I also used the select expert to narrow the date range between 8/01/2009 and 8/31/2011. This prevented records from years prior to 2009 from being selected.
