A Field "Spares Issues/Returns" contains both negative and positive values. I need a formula to select negative values say, <= -2000 and positive values >= 2000. Could anybody assist?

Is this a selection formula?
You could use two clauses with an "OR" between them.

Or you could use absolute Value:

ABS({field}) >= 2000 Ken Hamady

Yes, it is a select formula {Issues.Value}<=-1000 or
{Issues.Value}>= 1000. This did'nt work, because I mis-used it. It does now. Thanks for your help

More help needed on this. The field already has a formula in it e.g. Qty*UnitValue. When I apply {Issues.Value}<=-1000 or {Issues.Value}>= 1000 it returns True or False.

How do I convert formulas to values [Excel-style]? this would be one way round the problem.

Please forget my last question. ToNumber() is the answer.
Put my question down to grey cell deterioration - I can count them now. thanks
