I HAVE A COMBO BOX IN ACCESS 97 that look like this.

COMPANY * ID * CONTACTNAME
---------*-----*-------------
COMPANY1 * 343 * JONA MAY
COMPANY1 * 233 * DAVID LUCAS
COMPANY1 * 222 * STEVE MELO
COMPANY2 * 133 * OLDA MANO
COMPANY1 * 122 * LUPE DIAZ
COMPANY3 * 344 * LUKE DAVIS
COMPANY4 * 222 * MARTIN DONALD

I want to sort by company and contactname and when I select the contact it I want to select the current contact by their ID but it brings the first that matches the company.
but I want the third ie. Steve Melo for Company1 is the third choice.

thanks

Hi!

Look at the bound column property in the data tab of the property window. If you want to select by ID, there should be a 2 there.
