I have a client that has a pc card vm r3. she wants to be able to have the aa answer the calls after x number of rings, play a 'dial x for this, dial x for that' message.

what is the most efficient way that I can set her up? we tried this b4, using selector codes 1/2 and had to abandon the project, and basically use a call answer svc.

thx,

Hi wp7705,
I would normally just give a brief list of extensions that the caller can dial. Don't forget that the PVM cards are very limited in what they can do. If you use selector codes you will severely limit what a caller can do. For instance, using 1 & 2 will not allow you to directly call any extension from 10 to 29.
Besides, I hate voicemail hell where you channel a caller through multilevels (2 then 1 then 3 then ... get it). On the bigger systems I would use a directory (announcement using selector 5 or 6) and a directions / info announcement. Dial by name is inherent in the VS & up too.
