Existing IPE with all 16 cards built and segmented on 1 superloop card. If I want to segment that IPE across 2 superloop cards (I think I know the answer but here goes).
Do I have to tear down the whole shelf including Controller and then rebuild or can I just out the cards on segments 2 & 3 and just make a change to the Controller and then rebuild the phones on the new loop?

I think you will have to change the programming of the SUPL and controller in ld 97 and run the new cable to the back of the IPE from the NT8D04 card, depends if you want half and half or 0-3 and 4-12 or how tyou want to configure the shelf

Thanks,

Buddy

We did something similar a couple years back when installing a CallPilot 201i in an existing IPE shelf to make it non-blocking. We configured a new network card in LD 17 and installed it in the appropriate network slot, moved the cards to the new loop in LD 25, configured the controler in LD 97, installed the network cable to the SL1 connector on the IPE module and enabled. We did not out the entire existing shelf. We only moved the cards that were affected by the segmenting (cards 4-0-7 thru 4-0-15 to 24-0-7 thru 24-0-15). We were on Rls 4.5 at the time.
Old config was:
SUPL SUPT SLOT XPEC0 XPEC1 SHLF ZONE0/1 IPR0/1
004 STD LEFT 02 0 3 01 0 3 --- --- - --- ---------------
New config is:
004 STD LEFT 02 0 1 01 0 3 --- --- - --- ---------------
024 STD LEFT 02 2 3 -- - - --- --- - --- ---------------

Hope this helps!

Yes you would need to tear down what you have now.

Easier way would to build as new superloops and just move cables and enable superloop and XPE when ready. You could duplicate ahead of time on new superloop or if you have no ACD on loop - use LD 24 mov

Thanks for the information, there is alot of ACD units on this shelf. Here is what I found out when I spoke with one of the dealers I know. So it looks like I'll be tearing it down just to be safe.

1. Identify what is programmed on existing loop.
2. De-acquired ACD sets in Contact Center.
3. TM will need to have a "Delete" site built and populated to remove sets.
4. Once sets and other devices are removed, delete loop.
5. Delete existing controller for Loop.
6. Build both loops.
7. Reconfigure controller with segments for both Loops.
8. Reconfigure phones and devices in old superloop using Telephony Manager “ADD” site.
9. Configure phones that will be in new loop.
10. Re-acquired ACD sets with Contact Center.

no problem, thank you guys for the input that's what makes this site one of the best for good information.
