As some of you recall, I've posted a guide to Merlin systems, ranging from the original classic of 1984 to today's Magix system. If you haven't seen it, you can look at it at:
(Yes, I mis-spelled Systems.)
The guide is useful to hobbyists and people interested in the large market for used equipment. It doesn't replace the manuals available from Avaya, nor the expertise of a qualified installer.
I am looking for a volunteer to take over editing this document. The source is MS Word, and I use free software from PDF995.com to generate PDF documents. You would need to have a place on the web to store the PDF file, allowing others in the Tek-Tips community to access it. I will grant full rights to the document to the volunteer, as long as the document is made freely available to the Tek-Tips community. (You could also attempt to sell copies via other channels if you wish.)
A next version should include a chapter on the various voice mail systems offered by AT&T and successors over the years, and probably discuss more accessories.
I have retired from the Merlin community, and am actively maintaining a comparable document for the Partner community.
Thanks for any interest.
