My company exports reports from a pb8 application using an old third-party control called Formula One - File name TTF16.OCX. The company has no documentation on it and I've found nothing helpful on the web.
The control intermittently creates an XLS file that Excel cannot open. The files that Excel can open contain 12 columns and about 600 rows. From the appearance of the report in pb before export, the corrupt XLS files are comparable. File size is about 95KB.
I'm thinking that the OCX has some limitation that causes it to render an XLS file incompatible with more recent versions of Excel. I just haven't a clue what such a creature might be.
Any opinions, information, confirmations would be greatly appreciated.
