Seeking ever 5 secs

Have a Seagate Cheetah x15 SCSI LVD drive and ever 5 to 8 secs the drive trys to seek for about 1 sec this is when the system should be on ldle. Can anyone advise on how I can stop this

I have the drive set to singel end uses ID 0
