Seeking a tracing filter - does it exist?

hi there,

I am wondering if anyone knows of some good filters for illustrator. I need to make a series of illustrations based on photographic portraits of team members.

To do it all custom would take a very long time so I was hoping to find a good filter to use as a starting point. The basic illustrator ones aren't strong enough.
