Seeing Workgroups through Server

I can't seem to get my server to view some old workgroups we have set up on our network. Any quick fixes you people know that is easier than putting all of the computers into the Domain.

What IP addresse are the Workgroups on? Do you have routes set up for the server if the workgroups are on differant subnets? Are the workgroups at the same location as the Servers? If so tried using NetBEUI?
