i have a 1720 with a T1 wic and isdn module. my t1 was out of service recently and my router was placed on dial backup...when i spoke with telco they said they were looping the csu in the router....what commands could i run to see if they are actually doing anything? or see if a loop is up or if a loop is taken down

Not sure about the 1720 specifically, but in the 2600 with internal CSU's if you do a show interface it will say whether it is looped or not. Todd Hethmon

tcvander,

Does that prevent telco from initiating loops or does it prevent the interface from sending loop up code to the distant end? I read it to be the latter.

Regards,

Scott
