seeing a list of c webspaceontents of web folder 1

On my old webspace, I had a load of images placed in a separate folder - i.e -

http://www.webspace.co.uk/images

If I typed in the above URL, I got a list of that folders contents, within my browser.

I have now aquired new webspace and I'm trying to do the same but when I type

http://www.newwebspace.co.uk/images,

I get a 403 error

What's the difference ?
Am I missing something ?

Is there another way of listing the contents of that "images" folder (other than through my ftp program) ??

Many providers have disabled that (often default) functionality and wisely so due to security concerns. It may be possible for you to override these settings with .htaccess. See FUN WITH .htaccess for some more info.
