see value inside variable

Hi All,

How can I see a value inside a variable?

I have an ActionScript that is in the code of Frame1 of one of my symbols.

I need to see what the value of a variable is inside this script for debugging purposes. What is a good method to do this?

The thing is, I would prefer to be able to display this value in a textbox on the form.

How can I set the textbox = to the variable

I believe I have to prefix the textbox with the layer name?

no, layer would have nothing to do with it... you simply locate your text box, for example if my textbox was named "Mfield" and it was in a mc on the root and that mc name was "mcA" I would get to it by:

_root.mcA.Mfield.text = _root.variable
