See the value of variable to debug program

Hi, i develop with Jdevelopper 3.1 and i want to know if there are ways to see the value of variable,which is an essantial step to debug program. To do this, i have to do a out.println(myvariable) to see the value (for each time !)If the variable is in a JavaBean, i have to return the variable into the JSP , and put an out.println(myvariable). SO i lost a lot of time. I believed that Jdeveloper was a RAD software??? Could someone put me on the way?
