IS-IT--Management
In the interests of adding value to Visual FoxPro and complementing the efforts of the MS Fox Team as they work their way towards the release of Sedna in 2007. I've created a community owned and operated project called SednaX out on the GotDotNet site.
Everyone who is interested in improving Visual FoxPro and working as a community on projects that will provide open source add-ons, components, and code libraries for Visual FoxPro is encouraged to sign up. I announced this site at the recent Southwest Fox conference during the keynote speech I gave with Ken Levy. Microsoft also announced that they will be lifting the redistribution restrictions for the XSource.zip that comes with Visual FoxPro when VFP SP1 ships. This is a huge opportunity for Visual FoxPro to be improved by and for the developers that use it.
Just as I feel that Tek-Tips has some of the greatest Visual FoxPro related forums on the net, I think SednaX will ultimately house some of the greatest add-ons, components, and code libraries for Visual FoxPro. Please come help the rest of the Visual FoxPro community make this effort a success. Thank you.
