We've recently begun using the Manufacturing modules and I have setup security for users. However whenever any postings to inventory (whether from PO Receivings, MO Receipts, Inventory Adjustments) are done users get the following error:

Unhandled form exception:
Cannot open form. Script terminated

EXCEPTION_CLASS_FORM_MISSING

I've reviewed the security settings and I don't know which window is missing. I've now given the users access to everything in Inventory except the Remove Options and Year End Closing. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help will be appreciated.

What do they have access to under Manufacturing > Alternate Great Plains windows? It may be trying to access a alternate window than the standard Great Plains one.

Thanks luvsql, the alternate windows were ok. It seems as if it was some GL windows that the users needed access to - none of the transactions that were entered posted through GL.

I don't want to give them acces to enter GL transactions but I do want them to be able to post through. Right now I've given them access and there are no errors but I will have to figure it out since I don't want them to enter GL transactions.

If you use Advanced Security's By Menu (or By Toolbar) view, you can deny access to the appropriate GL transaction forms without denying access to the entire Financial Series.

If you deny access to an entire Series you will have problems as you will not have access to lookups and some hidden system forms. Without access to these hidden forms, posting can fail.

A user received the same error after trying to open Cards>Human Resources>Employee>Employee.

We resolved access to the Emplyee Maintenance form by checking the 'Payroll view' box under System>Users.

However, the user is still denied access to the form if she logs in to use a different company.

The 'Payroll view' is allowed in the case of this second company, what am I missing?
