I have an access database that i need to design a web front end for... I need to have multiple users, and want to control who can log in to my web site to control who has access to the database... how would i be able to do this with just front page... i don't want to setup directory level security, and control it from there, i want to control it through front page, or through an access database... which is easier...

this server will not be a publicly available server, it will be on the local intranet... so security is not a MAJOR concern, i realy just need to track who's doing what... and have reasonable security on the front end...

Life is change. To deny change is to deny life.

An easy solution would be to use SharePoint Team Services, which comes as part of FP2002. Your host will need to support FP2002 Server Extensions which are setup after first setting up FP2000 Server Extensions. They also must setup the Web folder as a SharePoint site.

From there you can do as you wish, but note that the Web will be a Server-based Web rather than a Disk-based one.
