I am not sure if this is the place to post this. Sorry if it isn't. I have a share named Global on an NTFS. Default share is full control. I have a folder named folder1 that when I look at the security tab, it shows the group users to have write and special permission. When I click advanced, it shows the special permissions to be everything except delete and take ownership. Users still can't access files on folder1. Help.

Throwing some darts here but the "users" group as you called it sounds like the local machine group to me. If you are running a domain then you want to put the "domain users" group on the folder and adjust accordingly.
