Hi all,
Does anyone know where the IE security zone settings are kept in either the registry or user's profile?

I had originally set the sec zones in group policy. We installed a new intranet application, and updated the sec zones to include this. however, all users got this new setting, but only some would respect the setting. In other words, the new application appears under 'Local intranet', but IE shows it as being in the 'INTERNET' zone. For some users I am able to remove the info and re-add it, others it doesn't work.

If I delete the users roaming profile and create a new one, it works. This is obviously time consuming and stupid, so I need to know how to remove all security zone data from the users profile...

thanks a million.

ok answered my own question..

delete hkcu\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internet settings

then gpupdate /force.

scripted that and happy days.

cheers.
