Before I place a call to Siemens support, I figure that I try here first. It seems all the Security for people "authorized" to make changes has somehow screwed up. The users are able to login, when they click on for example station (using assisant) the get a message permission control.

the user engr works without any issues.

So log in as engr, go into user administration and edit the privileges for the users. Someone must have accidentally removed a checkmark or two from there.

Donb01, I tried what you said. could not find anything out of place. I then tried to delete an account and then recreate it and assign the rights, but same thing.

Sorry, it only seems to affect the system configuration access.

I don't know the call volume on your system or if you have any quiet times, but maybe it just needs to be properly shut down and restarted, and then it will magically work again after that.

One other thing you could check, which should happen automatically in the early AM hours, is to go into Configuration Manangement - Network - System, and then hit the Search button so the data comes up. Make sure that everything says Synchronous, which means all of your memory, software and hardware databases are in sync. If any of the items does not say Synchronous then you can press the Synchronize button and everything should normalize again.

*** NOTE - I would not do that during any kind of busy time because it does put a load on the system and can temporarily affect some of the features.

See if that helps any.

I tried the re-sync late last night and that did not work and I then restarted the hi-path 4000 and that did not work.

OK, I'm far from an expert on the 4000 yet, so I guess I'm out of suggestions. Sorry. Maybe Iamnothere will stop by and offer some advice. Worst case you can always call for support.

I openned up a ticket with Siemens and they called me back and told me that I need to have an on-site tech to apply some hot fixes.

Here is what I have done:

Logged into assistant ad the admin
selected Software Management then application administrator and then reinstalled AScm

Once the reinstall was completed I ran a resync (Configuration Manager, network, and then system).

Finally I rebooted and logged in as me. I changed some telephone names and everything seems functional.
