I have a webserver setup and I wanted to be able to access a site from the internet. I set this up on a different port (2248) instead of the traditional 80 to hopefully eliminate some hackers on to my system. But, I lose some functionality when I do this(specifically with Adobe SVG viewer). So, I was wondering what I could do to minimize risk and open up port 80 on my router?

Does your router configuration screen allow you to forward all incoming port 80 traffic to a specific destination?

Yes. I haven't given my server a static IP yet, but I can do that as well. My concern is just opening the port. What am I opening my self up to?
