WE had our Novell 5 master server expirence a disk failure. In trying to recover we found that the right to create which was enabled at the root level was disabled at the share point level. Is there an easy was to fix the corruption of the security database? PS: The master was not deleted and cleaned from the other 2 servers in the system before the attempt to restore the primary back online in the role of primary after one of the secondaries became the master.

I am assuming that you are refering to the file system since you mentioned the share point in your message. NDS and the file system are to seperate security systems. You have to re-assign your file system rights to the volumes. If you dont have any rights to do this, then give your user object supervisor rights to the server object and this will give you supervisor rights to all volumes associated with the server. Then you can re-assign your file system rights your users and groups.<br>
