This is a dumb question. Yes, really, it is.

We have some Excel spreadsheets we want to put up on the Internet in PDF format. A manager is afraid "Someone will change it and present it as our data."

Unfortunately, I am a web designer not a salesman. I have not been able to convince the mgr that if I wanted to do the above, I could create fake spreadsheets in about 30 minutes.

So the mgr wants us to "do something" to make it harder to mess with the data. But we want people to be able to copy the data and paste it elsewhere. What would you all suggest?

We are using version 7.0.

File menu document properties. Select Security.

Under Permissions check Use password to:...... Select what you want to allow. Check the Enable copying .... if you want that.
