On a Window 2000 Server, I need to give rights to a group so they can add a Folder on the shared drive, and rename it, but they cannot delete it. Everytime I go into the Advanced portions to take off the Delete portion of the group with Modify positions, it removes Modify and they can't rename it.

Any ideas?

when you mention advanced portions.... do you mean:
you click 'advanced', then on the Permissions tab you choose the ACL entry and click on view/edit?
this way may let you set up special permissions

check in windows help for ntfs special permissions.

i'm not sure you can do this, however.....

apart from creating an application that ses a different account, and in your application only creating a rename procedure... but it would be a bit longwinded
