I have a split database (the _be.mdb, the .mde and the original development .mdb file). I am now sharing the BE and the MDE with two other users. Which file(s) do I need to apply security to? Thanks.

Hi,

could you give me more information on what you want to do...
Have a password on a database, user level security system, something else on your mind

Thanks Bigpapou

Hi,

I guess for the moment a password will do. Which file would I apply it to? (assume the BE file?)
Thanks

You need a password on the be and the .mde but... Only the be needs it... cause after that you'll recreate the .mde file (if you don't the change, the password, will not apply) and the password should be in function there to.
