Security - Linked table password change ?

Hi All,
Have an automated A2k app which runs during the night with several linked tables (whose passwords were saved).
Here is the question ....if the DSN account and password are updated (changed) do you need to re-link those tables ?
Was told that by saving the password when linking we are embedding the password and that even if the dsn is correctly updated my automated app would use the OLD password.

Automated apps should have fixed passwords. If you cannot avoid this situation, then yes, you have to re-link them.
