I've got a Aloha 5.3x system saying security key not found. I tried reinstall aloha, and manually registering the services. No dice.

I know there is a utility that can supposedly determine in the key is bad, I have it somewhere I think. But the client is over an hour a way, and I'd I'd need to put the key on a different parrallel port, so I figured I would just get some feedback.

What are the odds that this is anything else than they key? Yeah, it could possibly be the port I suppose. Can anyone share any stories where they have seen this and is isnt they key?

To my knowledge, it is physically connected, not damaged, and no server power problems.

Thanks!

I know that if it is a parallel key, an all-in-one parallel printer plugged into it will ruin them.
Make sure someone did not accidentaly change the key numbers.
Make sure the port is not disabled in bios.

You would get the dreaded "Wrong Security Key" if the numbers were changed. You could try re-installing the hasp. If I were you I wouldn't take their word for it before you put your hands on it though. It sounds like the key is unplugged or partially. It is pretty rare for a key to bomb out, it does happen.
