Have 2 questions about security. I'm new at this, so bear with me.

1- How do I build a member section accessible by login+password and make sure it is securised?

2- I'm working on an Apache server which is also running the compagny network. How do I do it to prtect the rest of the server from internet intrusion?

What books or reference should I seek? I can understand computer concepts pretty well, but I have to read and learn them first...

For passwording, using .htaccess and .htpasswrd is quite good. Hidden files, have to look for them ( Or create them )

I learned about them at , a gaming site that does hosting. Just search around for it.

As to the server/intranet issue, I don't think anyones safe anymore.... Dean Owen
