Security issue

Not sure if this is the right forum but i'll give it a go

My OS is XP 2002 SP1
I am using IE 6 SP2

The problem is I can't log into certain sites i.e. betfair or ebay along with a few lesser known ones
It lets me on but when I attempt to login it returns the standard Page Cannot be Displayed message

I can't install certain software such as Tiscali ISP
Again this dials up then returns the Page Cannot be Displayed message

I'm sure it must be just setting

Does anybody have any ideas

Hi, in IE advanced options, be sure that the two checkboxes Use HTTP1.1 are checked. Can you access some HTTPS sites?
