Security issue browsing network

I need to stop users using either the colon or backslash characters in the 'open' or 'save as' filename field in office applications to prevent users browsing the network using local and UNC paths. Everywhere else is locked down sweet.

Anyone any ideas?

Nope.

How about physically removing those two keys on the keyboard and putting some crazy glue in the sockets?
