Hello all,
I have an exchange 5.5 server and some users want to access their email when away from the office. We have OWA setup and that is fine, but some users want to download their email and read/edit it offline. The don't want to remove their email from the server as they use two different PC's.
I'm guessing I can simply open up the firewall to allow POP3 traffic, so the users can download their email. And tick the "leave copy of message on server" box so the emails will still be on the server when they logon back in the office with their MAPI client.
Does this sound reasonable? Are there better ways to do this? And most importantly are there any security concerns opening the POP3 port on the firewall?
Thanks Simon.
