Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 server DC and XP clients. All was working fine. Now all of a sudden some clients cannot access the shared drives on the server. They get the error message: "The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security." Please ensure that you can conact the server that authenticated you." Now I've done some research already and people had said that by changing the Preferred DNS on the client to the internal, and the Alterenate to teh ISP's or routers will fix the problem.BUT it didn't. Only one person can access the files and his client machine is set to Obtain auto. Any help would be great this is urgent!!! Thanks

More details on the error would be helpfull take a look in the event log.

Also change you DNS settings your clients shouldn't look to your ISP's DNS even for the secondary settings.
