Somehow I have managed to accidentally not trust a secure military web site. I need to change the untrusted certificate to a trusted certificate. I thought loading the certificate would be enough to accept the certificate. I have even deleted everything and started fresh, hoping to reaccept the certificate. I think my confusion is that there are so many programs involving certificates, I might be working with the wrong software ex: IE when the problem might be zone alarm.

Still, I would appreciate step by step how to change the unaccepted certificate. Send me your email and i can send you a copy of the error message.

Check through the certificate store and remove the site certificate in question:

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates button > Intermediate Certification Authorities tab > Highlight an entry > Click on Remove.

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates button > Trusted Root Certification tab > Highlight an entry > Click on Remove.

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates button > Untrusted Publishers tab > Highlight an entry > Click on Remove.

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Publishers button > Trusted Root Certification tab > Highlight an entry > Click on Remove.

Tools > Internet Options > Content > Publishers button > Untrusted Publishers tab > Highlight an entry > Click on Remove.

These are certificates created when you get the security window where you can check the box that will always "trust" a publisher or site.

If you have ever checked one of those boxes there will be a "trust" certificate in one of these areas. Trusted sites are kept recorded in one of these areas as well as "sites you don't want anything to do with". Be sure you remove the correct site information.

I removed them, and strangely, i still get that untrusted site thingee! Any other suggestions? That was using IE.
