I've gone through the forums and tried everything recommended. I've deleted the certificate, reset the security settings, rebooted, but it keeps coming up with a certificate that expires the end of 2017. I am using 9.1.12. I can get into manager no problem by setting the certificate to none, but system status will not let me in. Please help.

Go to security settings and regenerate certificate.
Download it, and install it in your pc.

Or, disable secure connection in system status. It's on the logon screen.

I disabled secure connection in system status already, that didn't work.

How do I regenerate the certificate? I thought deleting it would then regenerate it.

Did you save the security settings after deleting the certificate?

yes, as soon as i deleted the cert, it said the ipo would be unavailable for 5 minutes, i hit ok and then save. But it never stopped being available.

It doesn't stop being available. That is a bogus warning. It should have taken though.

Try this.

Set secure connection to none in Manager- preferences.

Then still in Manager go to File-Advanced-- System Status.
Launch System Status from there.

See does it allow you to Run from there.

nope. It recreates the cert, but it has an expiration date of 12/31/17. so it's already expired.

nope, as in running ss from manager didn't work.

i know how to delete, and i read that it regenerated on it's own. Is there another option?

nope. It recreates the cert, but it has an expiration date of 12/31/17. so it's already expired.

That's the date of the certificate that is generated at start up when the IPO can't contact a time server. My guess is it didn't really regenerate. Is your time server working?

just got it working, actually. let me try again.

Thanks, Tommy. That did the trick. Funny thing is, I originally was trying to get into system status to see if it was contacting the time server. lol

Thanks so much for all your help.
