Hi,

I want to enable auditing for one database on a Server. We believe users maybe deleting rows from a database.
Can I setup auditing to show who is deleting the rows and when it is being done.

Can someone help with the audit setup ?

Thanks !
Jo.

You could make use of "Profiler" in SQL 7 and 2000.Where you can assign T-SQL as audited contents and specify which SQL user or NT login user need to be audited.

Using SQL Profiler to trace SQL Server activity is the best option available without purchasing 3rd-party software. As Claire mentioned, you can filter traces by specific T-SQL statemnts and/or login. You can also filter by database.

SQL Profiler has several templates for various type of traces. You can modify an existing template to prodcue the results you desire or start from scratch to develop your own. In addition to numerous ways to filter a trace, Profiler allows you to select the events and columns that are captured in the trace.

If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and faq183-3179.
