Hi All,

I am trying to access a secured site, which uses a Security Certificate. The Security Alert window which pops up takes considerably more time when I use Internet Explorer than Mozilla.

The times taken being( Mozilla takes only 2 seconds compared to about 10 seconds for IE )

The version of IE used in 6.0 with SP1 and that of Mozilla being 1.4a.

Is this because of some settings in IE Internet options ?

Are there any methods by which I can get IE to behave in the same manner as Mozilla ?

Thanks :)
Vinod

try going to tools>internet options>connection tab> click "lan settings" and uncheck "automaticly detect settings" click OK and then go to the "adavnced tab and look for "warn if changing between....." and uncheck it. this will allow for faster browsing and not give you the warning screen in the first place.

the reason I tell you to do so is becasue there is more than likely no fix. 1 very important reason: mozilla is known to browse faster than IE. 2 it takes longer to browse to uncached secure sites. hope it helps
