Dear All :
I have 2 DCs in my Network ...
suddenly a Blue Screen appears on the main DC and when starting it it take a lot of time and then give an error :
Scurity accounts manager initialization failed ...
the system will shutdown ...

How can I recover this DC Server ?
Can I use the other DC to restore from it ?

Easiest way if you have another DC in the same site would be to format the machine and rebuild it. Once it's a memeber server you can simply promote it to a DC again and it should get the AD back from the other DC using replication.

However if you can demote dodgey server properly in the first place it would be a good thing, otherwise you'll spend ages cleaning up knackered DNS and metabase entries.
